February 22nd is Pink Shirt Day

As you may already know, this coming Wednesday is Pink Shirt Day.  We are encouraging everyone to wear a pink shirt (or something else that is pink) as a way to say 'No to bullying'.  In our class, we are also going to connect Pink Shirt Day to reviewing ways we can fill each others' buckets.  

Pajama Day Coming Soon

This coming Thursday, January 19th is pajama day at school.  Students are allowed to wear their pajamas to school.  That should make the morning routine a little bit easier. :)


Also, Friday, January 20th is a PA Day, and there is no school for students.

Revised Winter Concert Date

As you probably already know, our class will be one of the performers at our school's upcoming Winter Concert on Thursday, January 12th.  The concert starts at 6:30 pm.  We would like students to arrive by 6:15 pm.  Please bring your child to our classroom, Room 110.  We will supervise and organize the students for the concert while parents and guests find seats in the gym.  Our class will be performing with Ms Sobel & Ms Sarvi's class, and we will be the first performers for the evening.

Friendly Reminders ...

 'Cookie & Popcorn' orders for November 29 to December 21 are due November 24th.  Late orders will not be accepted.  If you did not receive an order form, please let us know, and we will send it home with your child.

Thank you to the families who have already signed up for their child's Student-Led Conference (Senior Kindergarten-Year 2) or In-class Observation Visit (Junior Kindergarten-Year 1).  

If you have not signed up, yet, please plan on doing so soon since the online booking will close tomorrow, November 23rd.

Tomorrow is Photo Retake Day

Just a friendly reminder ... tomorrow is school photo retake day.  If you would like your child to have his/her school photo redone, please send us a note.    

In addition, we will have our class photo redone tomorrow since Ms. Guerriero was absent on the previous photo day.

   

Kale & Beets Survey

We cooked some beets and some of the kale that we received at the farm last week, and we invited everyone to taste some yesterday afternoon.  We were very proud of the students because most of them were willing to taste the kale and beets.  (Five students were absent when we did our taste test.)

The good news is that we found out that most people in our class liked the kale chips and roasted beets!
